The best I can remember (from school, not from being there...) , they were:

DE, PA, NJ, GA, CT, MA, MD, SC, NH, VA, NY, NC, RI, VT, KY, TN, OH, LA, IN, MS, IL, AL, ME, MO, AR, MI, FL, TX, IA, WI, CA, MN, OR, KS, & WV.

You might be surprised how many people think the Southern States were "taken off" the flag during the Civil War, but none were. That's why the well-known phrase is that the Union was "preserved." Also, flag bearing the 35th star, for West Virginia, became official on July 4, 1863; the day after the 3-day Battle of Gettysburg.

Probably more than you wanted to know. LOL
