One of the drawbacks that existed because of using poisonous gas was that the collateral damage was much more than intended. There were injuries and deaths outside the targeted military bombardment area.

∙ 16y agoAnswer There were several. 1 Poisonous gas was dangerous to handle. 2 Gas could not be controlled when applied. A wind could bring it back on your own troops. 3 After gas has lifted, sometimes pockets could be found in low-lying areas. 4 Protective equipment was expensive and cumbersome and interferred with the soldier's work.
