From a child's perspective concentration camps must have been very bad. They couldn't figure out where they were or why.

There were almost no children in concentration camps. The exception being the Gypsy family camps were people were held for experimentation. The vast majority of children were sent to extermination camps, there were of course those who were big enough to pass for adults.

Life within Nazi concentration camps was horrible. Prisoners were forced to do hard physical labor and yet given tiny rations. Prisoners slept three or more people per crowded wooden bunk (no mattress or pillow). Torture within the concentration camps was common and deaths were frequent.

Why did the Nazis kill Hana Brady and her friend Ella?

Because, they were children and Children at concenration and death camps were immediately putted into the gas chambers. This was so because Children was unfit to work and the Nazis didn't wanted space wasted by unfit workers. The only children who survived the camps were twins because the doctors did experiments on 1 child and see what happens, see if theirs any side effects compared to the 2nd child but if the twin died, then the nazis killed the 2nd twin.

What were the different types of camps in World War 2?

== == The following are the types of camps that were used in the Holocaust: * "Concentration camps" is the generic term for the prison camps maintained by the Third Reich. * "Labor camps" were those that were maintained for the purpose of exploiting slave labor. * "Extermination camps" were six camps located in Poland where the mass murder of Jews and others took place. Many of the concentration camps were complexes of several camps and some had dual functions. At the Auschwitz complex, for example, most of the genocide took place in a subcamp called Birkenau. There was also a labor camp named Monowitz that was part of the complex where an artificial rubber plant was built. Likewise, Treblinka, another extermination camp, was part of a complex of three camps, two of which were used for slave labor.
