In my opinion the German tiger tank or Panzer was the best tank of WWII

In mine the tigers where out of the question because they were few in numbers, slow, strong but proved to be usless in the eastern campaign. The American Sherman had more alterations to it than most other tanks.
There's a lot of debate on this, but the strongest consensus is that the Soviet T34 was the best tank.

It had several innovations such as steeply sloped armor that made it more resistant to shell fire than Allied tanks and most German tanks.

The German Panther Tank, which was influenced by the T34 had similar sloping armor design, however it was late in coming, and did not demonstrate the durability in daily operation that the T34 had.

The T34 also had a sizable enough Gun to effectively counter the heavy German tanks. It had fewer parts, and thus lower maintenance than German tanks, and was far more capable in cold weather.

Its superiority was fairly well established by the Battle of Kursk... the largest tank battles of WWII

but the main reason that the t34 was better then most of the German tanks was the 88m shell that was made by the soviet red army to supress the nazi advance

Panzer V Panther and the T-34

Panzer V Panther was created by Nazi Germany and the T-34 was created by the soviets.

The Panther was created in 1942 to overcome the power of the Soviet T-34 and about 6,000 of these magnificent tanks was built and they destroyed other 20,000 soviet tanks. It had a strong armor from 2.76 inches to 6.5 inches, This made it powerful to overcome any soviet tank shootings. It had a 7.5 cm KwK 42 gun as a main and 2x8mm mg 34 guns on front left and front right side of the cannon. It can do 35 mph in any terrain. It had a v-12 engine which gives it from 15,000 rpm - 250,000 rpm, which gives it 685 hp. it costs 117,100 recichmarks to make 1 tank include armor and guns

The T-34 was created in 1940, Theirs been other 84,000 of these used, it was used from 1940-1958 mostly but it still rarely used today. These destroyed about 185,000 German tanks. It has a 0.7 inch to 2.4 inches armor, this made it highly vulnerable to the German panther, tiger and panzer tanks shell explosions. It had a 3 inch f-34 tank gun, which wasn't good enough for the German tanks. It also had 2x7.62 mm DT Machine guns. It had a v-2 500 hp engine which this give it a top speed of 32 mph.

So the best tank was the Panzer V panther because Its more powerful, More manoeuvrable, well armed and had a powerful gun.

This is a difficult question to answer due to the fact that it a matter of opinion. Mainly the USSR and Nazi Germany were the only countries to produced very good tanks, the US and British attemps were not so good. The top 2 best would likely to be the T-34 (USSR) due to its variety of tanks and the near perfect combination of speed, armor and gun. The 2nd one would be the Panzerkampfwagen IV (Panzer IV) due to it was a reliable tank which was quick and had very good armor. The PzIV was the only tank to be commonly used in WW2 from the start to the end, whereas the T-34 tank was first in service in mid-late 1940. Main reason for these tanks to be one of the best if not in WW2 was due to the fact that they were easy to mass produce in huge quantities.

This question is a matter of opinion, personally I think the PzIV was the best WW2 tank but overs will disagree.
