I'd rate it below Costa Rica's declaration of war in December 1941, which was designed to show solidarity with the U.S. and to provide an excuse for seizing German property. Argentina declared war on Germany on 29 March 1945. This was purely a gesture and was intended to avoid giving undue offence to the U.S.
