With round-the-clock scheduling, Liberty ships were eventually able to be built in 10 days time, to replace the large shipping losses due to Nazi submarine attacks.
Furthermore, many men left their jobs to join the ranks of the military. Women everywhere gave up housekeeping and went to work in factories, replacing the lost manpower, and learning skilled trades like welding, machining of metals, aircraft construction, shipbuilding, bombmaking etc. to enable America to wage war effectively, leading to ultimate victories in every military theatre of operations.
