The purpose of the battle of Lexington and Concord was so that the Lexington's side could get everything that wanted on the Concord's side and the Concord's side could get everything that they wanted on the Lexington's side. But they never finished because they all died because they were all horny and wanted sex and couldn't take it anymore so they cut off their dicks.

- The British left Boston in order to seize a weapons cache that the Colonists had built up. Unknown to the British, the Colonists were warned that the British were heading towards Lexington. The Minutemen, a militia group of Colonists who organized and took an oath to be ready to assemblle for battle at a minutes notice, met the British outside of Boston on Lexington green. Noone knows who fired the shot or why it was fired, but the "shot heard round the world" sparked a battle between the two forces. Unfortunately for the British, they had to return to Boston, which was several miles away. The British forces were decimated as they tried to get back to the safey of Boston by Colonists who heard of the conflict at Lexington. Following this historic skirmish, the American Revolution began.
The British troops sent to Concord (via Lexington) in April of 1775 had two goals. First, they were to uncover and confiscate arms hidden by the colonists for the sake of rebelling in force against the British at some time in the near future. Second, they were to arrest rebel leaders known to be residing in the area.
Another name for the Battle of Lexington & Concord could be "The Shot heard Around the World." Hope It Helps! :)
