The Pacific War was a naval war. The most important weapon was the aircraft carrier. The navy without the carrier would lose the naval battle. The navy that lost the naval battle would lose the Pacific (Ocean) War.

The U.S.A. used many weapons in the Pacific front. They used Browning .30cal water cooled machine guns, Browning .30 cal air cooled machine guns, BARs (browning automatic rifles),M-1 Garands (their main weapon) M-1 carbines, Thompson sub-machineguns, colt .45s, springfield '03 (both as main battle rifle at the beginning and sniper rifle in the end), water and air cooled .50cal machineguns mouned on tanks and other armoured vehicales, 75 and 76mm cannons on sherman tanks, and a varios amount of weapons on naval veselsand carrier based planes droping bombs of different sizes on the Japanese. The Japanes used type 99s and type 100 plus light and heavey machine guns.
