The biggest move is towards computerized UAV's & Smart Weapons. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and robotic smart weapons. Manned aircraft are restricted in aerial maneuvers due to "G" forces. As well as taking up precious space for a pilot; not to mention losing a pilot to enemy hostage situations (POW/Bargaining tool, etc.). UAV's have unlimited maneuverabilities, allow more room for added computers/weapons, do not risk human life, and eliminate hostages (POW's).
