I would say the British/American offensive into German Occupied Normandy. D-Day. Or there's also the Russian invasion into Berlin. I'm pretty sure it's one of those two.
The Normandy Invasion opened the Second Front in Europe, putting Hitler in a vise between Russian forces advancing from the East and the Anglo-French-American forces in the West.
the tide of war went against the Germans
There was one major turning point. The Russian Winter. Trust me, that was the beginning of the end of Hitler's Eastern Front.
It was America, England, and Canada. Russia helped to plan the Normandy invasion during the Tehran Conference, and definitely supplied troops. There were no Russian commanders during the June 6th invasion. America was commanded by Dwight D. Eisenhower and England's Winston Curchill took control of both his homeland and Canada. :)
