Austria and Hungary separated, and several small countries came into being in Eastern Europe:- Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania. Several others significantly changed their borders:- Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Italy, Germany, Poland. Several of those countries changed their borders also after WWII or in recent decades and Yugoslavia has split up. Europe is just a crazy mixed up continent! I was forgetting the world-wide implications. One that I remember: German East Africa became Kenya. Germany had colonies in many places, all were taken away and given to, mostly, France and Britain, and renamed. Most large-scale wars result in border changes and name changes.
The sheer scale of World War 2 affected many countries.
none of the world wars were litterally a world war, not all of the countries fought on both wars and the countries didnt fight everyone on each other in both wars, WW2 was classified as a war world because it splitted most of it [Europe and USA joined it too] into 2 groups that fought each other: Allies and Axis.
because they think it was right because they loved fighting(:

because it was the world war that ended after the first world war. Also referring to world war as a war that has most countries fighting in it.
because of the treat and of the war alot of the allies had lost and also gained territory. Several new countries were created.
because many countries and continents were involved in the conflict.
The Nazis invaded Poland and this was the start of World War 2. Other countries declared war on Germany because of what they did to Poland and because he violated the Treaty of the Versailles.
Because Hitler wasn't happy with the terms of the treaty of Versailles and wanted to change the way other countries treated it. They wouldn't take any negotiations and decided to form another war against the countries which signed the treaty of Versailles....
