Italy started as a Axis power, but after its surrender in 1943 supported the allies.

Romania and Bulgaria started out as German allies, but switched sides when they were invaded by the Soviet Armies in 1944.

The axis got active suuport form some parts of Yugoslavia, such as Croatia, Serbia, and Montenegro; however there was widespread anti-axis activity throughout the country especially in Bosnia, Slovenia and Macedonia.
