Most of the war was fought on the Cremean Peninsula, now a part of the Ukraine. Battles took place near the Alma River, Kadikoi (Battle of Balaclava), Sevastopol (Battle of Chernaya River), Eupatoria, Inkerman, Petropavlovsk, Taganrog, the Kinburn Peninsula, Kurekdere, Malakoff, Sevastopol, and the last major battle at Kars.
It was fought largely in the Crimea, Ukraine, near the Black Sea.
