The goal of the Marshall Plan was to rebuild the economies of Western Europe to prevent the spread of communism.
The Marshal plan was initiated for recovery os European Region after the World War II. It was named after the Secretary of State George C. Marshall who offically announced it. It was announced on 5th june 1947 and focused on providing financial help to European Countries affected by the War.
The plan which assisted European nations with war reparations was called the Marshall Plan.

George Marshall was previously the very successful four-star general, Chief of Staff (head) of the US Army in the Second World War.
