Depends upon where you are from. If you're from the communist block nations (or former communist block countries) then the enemy (bad guys) were the US & allies. If you're from the former free world nations (or "current" free world nations...Europe, America, Australia, etc.) then the enemy (bad guys) were the NVA & VC (and suppliers).

NVA=North Viet Army

VC=Viet Cong

USSR/Red China-Suppliers of tanks, jets, missiles, small arms, medical supplies, artillery, shells, land mines, etc.

The "good" guys are considered by most to be the anti-communists.

However, to others, the communists are the good guys. It depends entirely on which side you support.

The anti-communists:

The communists:

  • North Vietnam
  • Viet Cong
  • Khmer Rouge
  • Pathet Lao
  • Russia
  • China
  • North Korea
  • Czechoslovakia
  • Cuba
  • Bulgaria

The anti-communists lost the war. In fact historians criticise the USA for getting involved in Vietnam when it was absolutely none of the USA's business.
