The four primary tyrants of World War II were Adolf Hitler of Germany, Benito Mussolini of Italy, Emperor Hirohito of Japan, and Joseph Stalin of the Soviet Union. Each of these leaders played a significant role in the events leading up to and during the war, with their aggressive expansionist policies and totalitarian regimes contributing to the widespread devastation of the conflict.

Well, friend, World War 2 was a time of great challenge and hardship. The four main tyrants during this time were Adolf Hitler of Germany, Benito Mussolini of Italy, Emperor Hirohito of Japan, and Joseph Stalin of the Soviet Union. It's important to remember that even in dark times, there is always hope for a brighter future.

There were many dictators during World War II. Here's a quick list, with the arguably "major" dictators in bold:

  1. Adolf Hitler, Germany
  2. Benito Mussolini, Italy
  3. Joseph Stalin, Soviet Union
  4. Ferenc Szálasi, Hungary
  5. Ion Antonescu, Romania
  6. Hideki Tojo, Japan
  7. Chiang Kai-Shek, China
  8. Francisco Franco, Spain *
  9. Antonio Salazar, Portugal *

* although Spain and Portugal were friendly with the Axis Powers (Italy, Germany and Japan), they did not actively join the war, choosing instead to remain neutral. Spain did send "volunteer" troops to assist Germany's invasion of Soviet Russia; and Portugal became a favorite locale for spies on both sides- Ian Fleming served as a British spy there, and drew on his experiences to create fictional British super-spy, James Bond.
