Well, the allies won in 1943 Hitler committed suicide. Yet the war was won in 1945 meaning the axis forces didn't give in so easy. U.S.A. had captured half of Berlin and the U.S.S.R. captured the other probably by taking the reichstag over. Anyway after the war U.S.A. and Russia made the 'Berlin Wall', where there was actually a wall dividing Berlin in half. It was brutal but the Allies won.

P.S. the reason Russia and U.S.A. made the wall was because the Russians are Communists and the U.S.A. are Capitalists. That was one of the reasons the Russian Civil War took place.

well in the US WWII is actually two separate wars. there was the war in the pacific and the war in Europe. the war and Europe was really won at Stalingrad when Hitlers army was defeated and then for the first time they retreated all the way back to Berlin when Soviet forces meet US and British forces. the war in the Pacific was won once we dropped the atomic bombs on Japan.

You better thank Japan. If Japan never bombed Pearl Harbor than the Americans would never get angry at Japan and never would have joined the war, so basically, bottom line: We would have lost the war if America hadn't helped us out.
The Allies ended WW-2 in 1945 after two atomic bombs were dropped on Japan at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The war in England ended because England put stress on Hitler he was losing many wretched lifes of his comrades. So he took an overdose of pills he died instantly. the Natzis were no use without Hitler so they surrendered.
