the German people were very bittered after WWI.

They had great debts to pay and because of the inflation and high taxes food was very expensive.

The NSDAP (Hitler's party) said they could help the Germans. The people wanted to believe that and voted for him. Hitler became a dictator and made the people hate Jews, black people, homosexuals, gypsies and all people that were different.

He made an army and did other stuff against the Treaty of Versailles. (After he attacked Poland) GB and France declared war.

In other words yes their was

The main combatants controlled most of the planet, so in that sense it was a World War. But almost all of the fighting was in Europe, so you could say it was less of a World War than the Seven Years War, which saw Britain defeat France in both North America and the Indian Subcontinent.

World War 2 in Europe was fought primarily to resist German geographical and political expansion and to retain or restore the independence of Poland, Norway, France and other countries conquered by German and Italian forces. In the Pacific, World War 2 was fought to resist and turn back Japanese military and political expansion.

While Nazi murder of European Jews and other groups is a major point of discussion now when remembering the war, at the time the fate of the Jews was a minor consideration to most policy makers of the major powers arrayed against Germany (if they considered it at all) and was certainly not the reason any of them actually went to war.

Germany wanted to conquer Europe. Japan wanted to conquer Asia (and the Pacific).

It was a classic domino effect; each country sided with another, or attacked another (Pearl Harbor).
