There were many reasons why Chamberlain appeased Hitler, but here are the main ones:
Until Hitler invaded Poland and took his war machine west to Britain and France, Nazi Germany was becoming an important industrial power in an emerging global economy. Hosting the Olympics and developing highway systems definitely put them on par with America (still suffering from the Depression) and Russia (still clutched in Stalin's iron fist), and before the Allies had to become the Allies they were forced to consider Germany a legitimate diplomatic presence.
After WW1 no one was particularly interested in more confrontation and in any case he was notreally in a position to do any thing else, so he took the easy way out at the time and accepted what everyone wanted to hear.
Neville Chamberlain was the prime minister of Great Britain and he supported appeasement because he did not want to be dragged into a war with Germany. Appeasing Hilter came at a cost of conceding land to him.
It was in accordance with the Policy of Appeasement. This was used to appease Hitler to stop gaining other territories. However it did not have the desired effect. It made Hitler bolder and think that the Allies were afraid of him.
Chamberlain wanted to avoid conflict with Germany at all costs in order to prevent a war.
prevent the start of another world war
The allies were alarmed to be attached by Adolf Hitler. They were afraid of German expansionism and of what would happen to the Allies if Germany won the war.
The Munich Pact was an attempt by the democracies to appease Hitler by ceding him the Sudetenland of Czechoslovakia, in the hopes that he would end or delay his expansion. France and Britain realized that they were unprepared to wage war. Ironically, neither was Germany, but Hitler bluffed the democracies into believing it was.
The Berghof was totally destroyed by the Allies at the end of WW2, so as to not leave anything that could become a shrine to Hitler.
The invasion of Normandy, or D-Day, allowed the allies to get control of the coast of France. This allowed Allies to get a direct path to Germany, and potentially eliminate the dictator, Adolf Hitler.

Yes. He met Hitler in Munich and came away with his 'peace in our time' agreement which was intended to appease Hitler but turned out to be worthless.
Efforts to appease failed to stop Hitler's territorial advances and eventually war was the only option which was left.
The leader attempted to appease the angry crowd by addressing their concerns and offering a compromise.
