I don't agree that the war between Britain and Germany was inevitable because they could always have peace proposals and peace talks where they will talk about what will they do for the betterment of each countries.

The reason Britain (U.K.) declared war on Imperial Germany was because Germany invaded a 'neutral' country plus Britain was in a 'kinda' alliance with France. So yeah! One of the reasons they were, was because of navy size, Britain had 128 Ships, Germany had 51. So yeah!
