My granddad was a part of this division.Not sure what your question is, but my dad was in the 2nd Battalion Lincolnshire Regiment and was driving a water tanker in the Transport Echelon when he and many others were captured at Poperinge in Belgium, close to Dunkirk, on 26th May 1940.Any help?Ian Bowley

Which means, 2nd Battalion of the 34th Armor, or Cavalry, or Infantry, or Artillery, Engineer, Transportation, or Maintenance Regiment, etc.the 2nd maint bn was stationed in vung tau until aug 69 when it relocated to I corps. it was stationed beside the phubai airport, which is now a major airport.it served under Saigon support Command& then the Danang Support Command.

Also, units previously held at division level were made organic to the unit, a key element of the modular transformation. 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry was reflagged as the 1st Battalion, 9th Infantry. The 1st Battalion, 9th Infantry was reflagged as the 3rd Squadron, 61st Cavalry. 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry was reflagged as the 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry. The 2nd Battalion, 17th Field Artillery and 2nd Forward Support Battalion (redesignated 2nd Brigade Support Battalion) were also made organic to the new Brigade Combat Team.

well I suppose the simple answer is you can't!...the Royal Green Jackets along with other regiments were amalgamated into The Rifles Regiment. The 1st battalion Royal Green Jackets became the 2nd battalion The Rifles Regiment, and the 2nd battalion Royal Green Jackets became the 4th Battalion The Rifles Regiment. It appears the 3rd battalion and 4th Battalion (T.A.) are now disbanded.
