Woodrow Wilson was the American President during WW1. He won the elections twice, notably on the slogan: 'He kept us out of the War'. In 1917 he brought America into the war onto the side of the Allies.

He is most notably well-known for his contributions at the Paris Peace Conference of 1919 where he helped draw up the notorious Treaty of Versailles- a treaty punishing Germany for the war. It later caused a lot of problems in Germany, and is arguably a cause of the Second World War in 1939. Wilson was criticised for this treaty.
