Fort Ticonderoga was built by the French army in upstate New York. It was eventually captured by the British army in 1759. During the American war of Independence is was captured by the Green Mountain Boys of Vermont but was later recovered by the British.

Not sure of the spelling but his name was Tecumseh. I think he was the chief of the Shawnee tribe that sided with the white men and was later betrayed.
Toussaint L'Ouverture although he didn't live to see it finished. he was somewhat betrayed by other leaders of the rebellion and eventually was captured and imprisoned. later he died of a disease. later Napoleon issued a decree that place that haven't been freed are still slaves which was taken as all places in Hispaniola so the leader that defected went back to fighting the french. Eventually they won their independence declared officially on January 1st 1804.
nat turner was a slave of the 1800s who lead a mass slave rebellion, killing hundreds people. he ws later caught and captured.

Benedict Arnold
Benedict Arnold is the American general who tricked the British at Fort Stanwix and later betrayed America. He later defected to the British army and was became brigadier general.
Fort Ticonderoga is in upper New York State, near the eastern border with Vermont. It is just south of Crown Point on lower Lake Champlain. On May 10, 1775, the fort was captured from the British by the Green Mountain Boys, a US militia from what later became the state of Vermont.
