I'll start this off by saying that I am a white male. Of course they killed white women. They depending on the tribe they killed whoever they wanted. The white settlers and US Army did the same to the Indians so I certainly don't feel that the Indians did anything that they should be condemed for having done.

In early American history, there are cases of Native Americans kidnapping white women. For example, Cynthia Ann Parker was kidnapped by the Comanche at the age of 9. She grew up with the tribe, married a Comanche chieftan, and had three children with him. When she was "rescued" and returned to Texas, she was unable to adapt the European lifestyle. Stories such as this one inspired the "captivity narratives."

This figure fluctuates depending on who you ask. The US Government (a non-neutral source) officially states around 75,000 Indians. Several researchers (a neutral source) estimate between 14,000,000 and 122,000,000 (14 ~ 122 Million / double to 100 times the number of Jews killed by Hitler).

Why did American were willing to give up new lands to the Indians?

because the white people had guns and diseases. At first Natives did not engage in warfare. they really did not know how to fight. Why? because most native were friendly to other tribes. and there was no need for war or fighting. and yes they did not have guns, weapons of mass distructions. also it is a fact white brought diseases with them. The Indians were constantly at war with each other. The nations fought over land mainly, and to procure slaves, and sacrifices. Read the history of Native Americans, they were forever fighting over the named reasons. Ojibwa vs Lakota, Cherokee vs Creek, Lakota vs Crow and Pawnee, etc.

How was the problem between Native Americans and settlers resolved?

Generally speaking Courts and Society said that you can kill Indians, charge to kill Indians (for fun) and Indians cannot kill you (it is unlawful for an Indian to kill a white man). These same institutions also said: You can move onto the land owned by Indians, and as long a you make claim to it, you become the owners of the land and Indian law no longer applies to that parcel of land (IE: Native law that you can kill a thief cannot be implemented). The end result of this is: American's could move onto Native American lands, kill Indians, claim the Indian is the aggressor and call for the government to wipe out the tribe - and that is resolution.

What was the main reason native Americans would not helpthe british against the french?

Well, there are lots of reasons, but look at it first from their (Indians) point of view. They saw the colonists, the Americans, as invaders. Yes, some Indians and colonists co-existed peacefully, but not on the whole. The white man believed he was entitled to this land by Manifest Destiny, and thus the Indians were savages, below and beneath the white man. Who wouldn't want to fight against these people? They were trying to take their land, kill them, kill their way of life, of course they helped the British! The British (also white men) said they'd give the land back to the Indians if they won!
