Native Americans adapted utilizing the land around them, from hunting animals and foraging wild plants for food. They used the trees and animal skins to fashion shelter, clothing, transportation (ie: boats), and so on. Some Native Americans also were involved in agriculture, with maize (corn) as an important part of their crops.
