Is Jamie Sams really native American?

She claims to be of Cherokee and Seneca decent and there have been no counter claims against her statements (IE: No official of either tribe has said differently). It is also important to note that "Native American" is not the "blood quantum" or other such things, is is more of a way that you live your life. From the titles of her books (taken at face value) she is most likely living on those paths. See her website linked below.

Why do many countries have to give up their colonies while others don't?

There are not many countries these days that have colonies. Countries such as Britain Holland Spain Portugal Germany etc. had enslaved countries for hundreds of years in order to loot from them what they could. After WW2 it became uneconomic for them to maintain their hold on them and with US influence gaining hold in these areas the colonies were deserted. even the countries that were forced to become part of the USSR eventually regained their freedom. The only countries that are able to hold colonial sway over the peoples of other countries of the world are those that have veto power in the United Nations and therefore don't have to explain themselves.

What happened during slavery how did it end?

Slavery has not yet completely ended! It is illegal in all developed countries and most other countries, but a few countries still have slavery and open slave markets. Even in the US there is some illegal slavery, often involving people in lower classes or illegal aliens. These people would often get in trouble with the police or immigration if they tried to report their "owners" as well as risking direct punishment by those "owners" if they catch them trying to escape.

Two countries in South American have made claims on the Antarctic continent: Chile and Argentina. South Africa and Brazil are among the countries that do not have claims on Antarctic territory, but reserve the right to make claims should those rights ever be made available in future. The Antarctic Treaty holds all existing claims in abeyance and disallows any future claims. The Antarctic Treaty was signed in the 1960s.
