Traveling and experiencing different cultures broadens the mind as it allows one to get a better understanding of the world. Traveling alone however does not necessarily accomplish this, as one needs to be traveling without leisure to fully appreciate their surroundings.

Of course yes, history is important in schools.it helps virtually every student to what happened in the past, recent times and can likely know what might happen in different sectors of the economy and in various course of study. But most importantly to broaden your mind, intelligence and develope your brain.
I think this is mainly because of a sort of stable economy. In most other countries there were large problems. Tough rulership in a lot of countries. This made provinces in russia fight a lot among themselves and provinces in China fought a lot among themselves. Japan had problems with their neighbours and Europe were not "united" as such. In America however the different states had their problems but they did not fight among themselves. In big matters they stood united. Their greatest strength. Unity and the united strength along with a pretty decent rulership made the American people the supreme power. Secondary issues is that Unity and little very large problems mad them prosperous. I am sure many Americans will disagree, but as a whole, the American people do cooperate better (even among black and white) than different cultures and races in many other countries. Prosperity means better resources and economy for development, both civil and military. I am sure other people can broaden my views or even disagree :-) regards.
Some of the major public works projects built during the New Deal were the Hoover Dam, the Lincoln Tunnel in New York City, and the Triborough bridge in New York City. The New Deal was created by Franklin Roosevelt.
it formed the way our society is today. If it weren't for that act, Manifest Destiny wouldn't have been accomplished, industrilization would have been prolonged, and Andrew Jackson wouldn't have been able to broaden the executive branch as much as he did.
