Abraham Lincoln had a younger brother, Thomas Jr. (1811-1812), who died in infancy. He had a younger stepbrother, John, the son of his stepmother Sarah.

Abraham Lincoln also had an older sister named Sarah, who died in childbirth (February 10, 1807 - January 20, 1828) and two stepsisters (Matilda and Elizabeth), likewise the children of his father's second wife, Sarah Johnston (a cousin of Lincoln's mother Nancy).

Abraham Lincoln had one younger brother, Thomas Jr. (1811-1812), who died in infancy.

He also had one older sister, and two step sisters; one older and one about 6 months younger.

Sarah, Abraham's older sister was 2 years older than he was. He and his sister were raised by their parents, Nancy and Thomas, until Nancy's death. In October of 1818, Abraham was 9, and Sarah was 11 years old, their mother Nancy, passed away from "milk sickness".

Their father, Thomas, remarried in December of 1819 to Sarah Bush Johnston, who was a widow, and had 3 of her own children. For the next several years, Abraham lived with his sister Sarah, his father Thomas, stepmother Sarah, his 2 stepsisters, (Elizabeth age 13 and Matilda age 10), and his stepbrother, John (age 9).
