Scientists believe that Africans reached America through a land bridge near Alaska, after many years of northward migration. Americans did not find the Africans, but Americans are believed to be descended from the humans that first evolved in Africa.
The Great Migration included Blacks also known as African Americans, Jim Crow Laws - segregation, and The Harlem Renaissance which made many Africans famous. For ex: Louis Armstrong or Anderson.
The first forced migration was referred to as the Transatlantic Slave trade. This included Africans enslaved in Africa and sold to slave traders. Once in America, a second forced migration (internal slave trade) moved them from the Atlantic ports to the American south. A third migration was voluntary, where Africans migrated to the the northern states of America.
The movement of African Americans from the rural south to the industrial north in the early 1900s is known as the Great Migration.
The primary causes of European migration to the Americas were economic opportunities, religious freedom, and the desire for political autonomy. The effects included the decimation of indigenous populations, the establishment of colonial systems, and the transatlantic slave trade, which brought millions of Africans to the Americas under brutal conditions.

Americans didn't like Africans because the Africans were different. Humans in general tend to automatically be afraid of something they don't know about. So, Americans decided to control Africans. America's ignorance spawned the hatred.
