The paleo-Indians probably entered North America by crossing a land bridge spanning the Bering Strait.

Since back in the 1990's shards of pottery were found that tested to be between 20,000 and 25,000 years old in the southwest, it is hardly likely that the theory of the natives crossing any alleged land bridge has any merit.
