In the early 30's my Grandmother was hitch hiking from DallasTexas to Oklahoma and she accepted a ride with several fellows. She began to notice a lot of weapons and machine guns in the car and heard the names Dillinger and Pretty Boy. She got out with the pretense to go to the restroom when they stopped for gas somewhere in Oklahoma and she went round back and kept going through the woods and hid in the woods until they drove away. I can't verify this for certain as I too have been trying to find out if he was ever in that area. My Grandmother was positive it was him after being shown photos.
