Against: In it's most pure form Industrialization is greed, unnecessary expansion, generally under the false preconceived notion that the word's resources and space are infinite.

For: advancing of technology; while the notion of "finite resources" is dealt with by claiming that we can colonize space, or (since debunked) mater transformation for the sake of creating a new fuel source.

the two can be seen in practice when you contrast an agricultural society to an industrialized one
