1770 - Revolutionary War - war for freedom, Constitutional Convention, Presidency
1802 - Western Expansion - Lousiana Purchase, movement of settlers on the Oregon Trail
1849 - Search for Gold - western dash in search of gold and riches. Encroaching into Nativelands.
1861 - Civil War
1870 - Indian Wars
1900 - Industrial Revolution
1914 - World War 1
1929 -The Great Depression
1939 - World War 2
1950 - Korean War, US/USSR conflicts
1960 - Vietnam War/Civil Rights
1980 - Star Wars - US/USSR rush to build atomic weapons
1990 - Gulf War
1993 - Troops in Somalia
2001 - 9/11
2002 - War on Terrorism
