1620 - Early Settlers - Europeans settle in America searching for religious freedom - Pilgrims, Quakers, Puritans, etc. Settlments: Jamestown, Roanoke..

1770 - Revolutionary War - war for freedom, Constitutional Convention, Presidency

1802 - Western Expansion - Lousiana Purchase, movement of settlers on the Oregon Trail

1849 - Search for Gold - western dash in search of gold and riches. Encroaching into Nativelands.

1861 - Civil War

1870 - Indian Wars

1900 - Industrial Revolution

1914 - World War 1

1929 -The Great Depression

1939 - World War 2

1950 - Korean War, US/USSR conflicts

1960 - Vietnam War/Civil Rights
