Settles were drawn to the middle colonies because there they could vote for who then wanted to rule. They were able to move away from the control of England. They also had good land for growing crops in the middle colonies.

To be specific because that is how you answer on here...they promised religious freedom and it was a place where warm weather crops could be grown such as tobacco, rice and indigo.
