push them out of their land and make them end up in reservations. also, they brought many diseases with them, killing many of them.

Generally, White Settlers were quite despicable towards Native Americans. They displaced and evicted them from their land, killed them intentionally and unintentionally with disease, fought "wars" with them that were one-sided up until the mid-1800s, forced them into oppressive physical labor, tried to strip their culture from them through "Americanizing Schools", and subjected them to racism and discrimination in American Society.

As with any interactions between people groups, there were a mix of positive and negative interactions between the Native Americans and the White colonists.

Some positive interactions include:

-advising colonial farmers in ways of farming better suited to the North American climate

- trading food to settlers whose stocks had run short

- acting as guides to explorers and settlers

Other interactions were more negative such as:

- raiding colonial settlements (often in retaliation to colonist aggression)

- petty theft of colonist possessions

- walking around settlements nude or partially nude (not really dangerous, just more of an annoyance for colonists)

- murder of colonists who had unknowingly violated their custom or tradition (this varied greatly depending on the nature of the tribe, though they tended to be more tolerant of the colonists)
