Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) was an American civil rights leader who fought for racial justice and equality for African Americans in the United States. He was born on January 15 1929 in Atlanta Georgia and is best known for his role in leading the civil rights movement of the 1950s and 1960s. While he is most remembered for his activism and advocacy he was also a pastor an author and a Nobel Peace Prize winner. MLK was assassinated on April 4 1968 in Memphis Tennessee.MLK\'s legacy is one of hope and progress. He went to Oslo, Norway to give his acceptance speech on 10 December 1964. At the time, this award was very controversial in the southern United States, where Dr. King was regarded as a trouble-maker rather than a hero.
Dr. Martin Luther King, jr, the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize, was not alive when Titanic sank in 1912. He wasn't born until 1929. It's worth noting, however, that Dr. King died in an April which was the same month that Titanic sank.
