Why are white people rude to black people when it's Black History Month?

Some whites are rude to blacks during Black History Month because they claim it is unfair and unequal to others without a history month. This is unfounded since there are other months designated for other races; they simply are not as high profile as Black History Month. Some even claim there is no White History Month which many have to repeat back that there is; it is every month on the calender. Since white history is taught no matter what, there is no need to have any specific month for it which is what many hope will happen for Black History and which is the whole point of it; that history about black Americans will be taught not because of a month, but because it is history and needs to be known.

Why should Black History Month not be celebrated?

we have black history month to show appreciation to all blacks who had served there rights for all blacks like take whats going on right now for example they are fighting for there rights. just like blacks weren't aloud in white school and they fought for there rights to go to school with white kids. I'm pretty sure u can see my point to this question.

Did Sojourner Truth traveled the country to speak out against slavery?

Yes, Sojourner Truth did travel the country to speak against slavery. (I know because I need to know this for a History paper)

Why did black history start?

Black history really started in the Americas with slavery. I think that the American people recognized that slavery was a fully American experience and that black Americans are a part of what America is, that the thought that we should have a special month set aside to acknowledge that and to celebrate black Americans' history and contributions to the history of the United States.
