In the Southern colonies, they would usually use wood for shelter. Sometimes they'd use oiled and waxed cloth, paper, or thin sheets of animal horn to make WINDOWS. Cloth Rags, Women would have a belt around their waist, and long rags were tied to the belt device in the front, thru the legs and tied on the belt in the back. Extra cloth was put in the middle. I am not sure of the material of the belt, could of been cloth.
