Why were the french traders accepted by the native Americans but the spanish explorers were not?

Because the French traders treated the native Americans as business partners. They were particularly interested in the fur trade and regularly paid the natives giving them in exchange cloths, iron and steel tools, knives, sidearms and muskets. They established friendly relationship with the tribes, gaining their trust, founding trading post located in strategical positions and sometime marrying their women. At the contrary, the Spanish explorers were interested only in finding of gold and silver. They were attracted by some gold and silver objects which the natives were dressing and attempted, also by using the force, to know where those valuable metals could have found out. That thoughtless way of behaviour led to a generalized hostility against the strangers by the natives.
