a stow away is someone that illegally boards a vessel(ship, train, plane, sub, space ship, exc.) in order to get from one place to another. these people are usually to poor to afford the ticket. If you have seen the movie "Batman Begins" in one part Bruce Wane is pulled off a train and the security man says, "the owner of the company wont be happy about this." He was stowing away.
