Ruby Bridges was a in the first grade, and the first (and only) African American child to attend her school in Louisiana. The Little Rock Nine were 9 high school students that were the first African American students to attend their school in Arkansas.
the little rock nine school was famous for its first integration of African Americans into this white school. Nine brave black students attended this school even going through torturous events such as racist name calling towards them (including parents) and getting beat. this was the first stand for equality in segregated schools
