Tent or stand is used in carnivals and circuses and similar establishments- stand implied rented space- say at the automobile show- not necesarily a temporary form of housing- as booth or tent implies. by the way in the different translations of The Bible the tale of the Transfiguration has two different angles- in one the Biblical characters are seen to have come out of Tents, another one Booths- they used to quip when I was in Sunday school, the narrator got drunk and went to a church carnival ( hence the booths) and started seeing triple! It is one of the more difficult tales in the Gospel to make a sermon about- unless one might be preaching tolerance and cooperation between Christians and Jews as Moses and I believe Eijah or Eliah figure in the narrative.
