Wilsonian Progressivism was the era (1913-1916) when President Wilson was in office, during this time he made many changes, the main three being 1. Reformed the banking system 2. Reduce the tariff 3. Pass a new Anti-Trust act (specifically the Clayton Anti-Trust Act) Also, during this time, the U.S. civilian cruiser "The Lusitania" was sunk by German submarines off the coast of England, and helped bring America into WWI

Our involvement in World War 1 put too much stress on the country. We entered in 1917 and the Progressive era was pretty much completely over by 1918.
• Populism arose in the late 19th century while progressivism arose in the beginning of the 20th century. • Populism came from the farmers and the poor sections of the society from down south while progressivism came from middle classes, who were fed up with the corruption of the rich and the appeasement of the poor by the government. • While progressivism focused on changing the political system itself, populism focused upon reforming the economic system.
