He should have let the South go. The Confederate States would have returned to the Union one-by-one in 20 or 30 years and on the Union's terms. We would have universal health care now. We would not have the animosity between North and South that existed until recently. Civil rights would have been advanced by 50 or 60 years or more. And we would not have killed off more young Americans than in any other war.

Abe Lincoln Made many Few mistakes, He only made one crucial mistake and that was to attend the play with no body guards, If there where guards outside of the booth he was in then he Would still have been alive, Although He would still be dead today.
