Problems?? The whole and unholy mess of being a catholic monarch to a largely protestant population. This mess cost him his head - literally, it was cut off. His son, Charles II was the first king of the "Restoration". By the way, if Charles, son of Elizabeth II , ever becomes king, he would be Charles III. I guess "Charles" is not a very popular name among the kings of England . . .
