The sixties War Movement changed the way citizens of the United States viewed their government. Small protests grew massive and events like the Kent State killings and the 1968 Democratic Convention caused many Americans to began to question the motives for why the US was even in southeast Asia. As a positive byproduct of the movement, 18-year olds who were old enough to go to Vietnam and die due to the draft but not old enough to vote, were given suffrage.
