He was born in Hardin, Ky. At 9 years old he was moved by his family to Spencer County, Indiana. At the age of 21 he moved to Macon County, Illinois. One year later he move to Coles County, Illinois. At the age of 35 he moved to Springfield, Illinois which was his home base from then on. Of course as President he lived in the White House.
