As a general statement these tribes / groups were known as "Tree Dwellers" by the plains natives. Meaning that these groups inhabited the forested (Treed) areas, and were normally agriculturally based groups. Specific names of the tribes in that area would exhaust the listing capabilities of this site (there were a LOT).
The Salish and Kootenai Tribes of the Flathead Nation lived in what is now Montana on the eastern slopes of the Rockies
The Lenape Indian tribe lived in what is now Fulton County, Pennsylvania in the 1760's. The Lenape Indians lived in much of the eastern portions of the state of Pennsylvania until they were forced out in the 1780's.
The weastern abenaki lived in southern quebec, vermont, New Hampshire, and parts of far notherthern Massachusetts.while the eastern abenaki lived in Maine and the part of quebec that borders Maine.

Southwest Indians lived in what is now Arizona, New Mexico, Southern Colorado and the northern part of Mexico. The Southwest Indians were farmers and grew beans, squash, melons, pumpkins and fruit. For meat, they often ate wild turkeys.
The Northwest Coast Indians traveled by canoes.
In China, in the eastern parts, the southwest is home to Tibetans and the northwest was inhabited by Tocharians but is now populated by Altaic peoples.

Delaware tribe or Lenape people are native Americans who inhabited the mountainous landscape along Delaware rive. As a result of American revolution white population moved them out of their areas (eastern states) and they now live in Ontario (Canada), Wisconsin and Oklahoma.
The Shawnee were originally located in what is now Tennessee and West Virginia, moving west and north into the Ohio country and south-west Pennsylvania. At no time were they Plains Indians - they are classed as an Eastern Woodlands tribe speaking one of many Algonquian languages.
