Discovered Cotton

Cotton is estimated to be about 7,000 years old, so no one knows who discovered cotton originally. It was grown, spun, and used in Pakistan and cotton clothing was worn in Egypt in 3,000 BC. The first discovery in the New World was made in 1492 when Christopher Columbus found it growing in the Bahamas

Where did cotton originat from?

The Egyptians have been making cotton thread and weaving for thousands of years and it is considered the finest cotton cloth in the world.
