Barska Scopes are made in China. Fact is they are relatively inexpensive scopes that are adequate for most hunting purposes. Many folks speak critically of optics made in China. They seem to either forget or not be old enough to remember when items made in Japan; from cars to electronics, were similarly criticized. Quality control is improving for items coming from China. There are those that really understand very little about the science of optics, that believe that if its not made in Europe or cost a couple of thousand dollars, it must not be any good. Barska is at the level of your higher end BSA and Simmons optics.

Well theyre "ok" for the price. I think they are a Big 5 brand product. If you have the choice, go with the Barska instead. Same price but better quality. Bigger objective lens means better image. Remmeber. Most everything is made in china anyway, but there is better Chinese stuff and worse Chinese stuff
